Lions Club Fish Fry & CarnivalJune 2-4
Held since 1945, the event features a parade, carnival, food and car show in Fairview Park. The Fish Fry is presented to help raise money for local schools, clubs, and other organizations in the community. Event includes, fish fry, raffle, baby contest carnival and rides.

Annual Family Fun & Wellness FairJune 3
Families throughout Southern California travel to Pretend City every year for the annual fair to receive free health screenings and checkups while enjoying good food, live music, and informative offerings from the exhibitors. These free developmental checkups and health screenings include hearing, speech and language, behavior, body mass index (BMI), height and weight, blood pressure and denta. Families will enjoy the various entertainments at the event such as live music performances, face painting, prize giveaways, and more!

A Harvest of Quilts  June 3-4
The Flying Geese Quilters Guild presents their annual Quilt Show where over 300 traditional and non-traditional style quilts will be on display. It brings together the “best of the best” in quiltmaking, with aisles of displays, retail exhibits, live quilt auction, antique quilts display, and hours of hands-on workshops.

Summerfest June 3-4
Some of this year’s vendors include: ceramics, woodworking, jewelry, photography, oil and water colored artists, and much, much more. Enjoy the live music, BBQ, wine tasting, children’s activities, demonstrations, nature programs, eco vendor and pony pictures.

Tustin Street Fair & Cook-Of June 4
The event features the Chili Cook-Off, craft booths, non-profit food vendors, entertainment, Chili Pepper & watermelon eating contests, kids carnival, Lazy Dog beer stein holding, music and much more.

Celebration of the Arts June 4
Dozens of artists exhibits and sales, including paintings, photography, ceramics, mosaics, jewelry, sculptures, wood carving, glass art, mixed media and cultural activities. This is a family friendly event offering free activities for all ages, sharing the creativity & talent of our community. This event is NOT a carnival, craft fair, beerfest, or fundraiser, but truly a day where talent & creativity is shared and inspired! Free parking and admission.

OC Pop Concert  June 11
Young artists showcase their talents for their biggest show of the year at their annual end-of-season concert. Held at the Orange County School of the Arts Margaret A. Webb Theater.

Summer Solstice Celebration & Summer Kick-Off Celebration June 20
Join Pretend City for our annual Summer Celebration! This event marks the start of Southern California’s favorite season, summer! You won’t want to miss this sizzling summer event which will include live musical performances by our surprise guests. Other fun-filled activities for the day include sensational story time, smart art, growing up great games and family fitness fun!

A Taste of Greece  June 23-24
This is a fun-filled Festival for the whole family! Pastries, dancing, full-Scale carnival, boutique & delicious Greek food including a wine taverna. There will also be cooking demonstrations, Greek folk dancing lessons, church tours and opportunity drawings.

OC Pride Week 2017 June 24
Many festivals are grey, but OC Pride Week is one of the more colorful festivals that you’ll attend. To celebrate the LGBT community, the festival invites you to live your life along with all of the other attendees. From a stage full of musical guests to the streets filled with live parades, this festival is filled with color, acceptance and pride.

2017 Orange County Elite Bodybuilding & Powerlifting Competition and Expo
June 24

We will be holding Men & Women’s Bodybuilding with categories as follows Novice, Open and Masters for Bodybuilding, Physique, Figure and Bikini. We will also be hosting a sanctioned Powerlifting competition that will start immediately after the bodybuilding pre-judging. You can also enjoy over 23,000 Sq. feet of vendor/exhibitor expo area that is free and openly accessible to the public. Come out and get food, samples and information from the many companies attending from supplements, apparel, workout gear and much, much more. There will be fitness challenges throughout the day held by the vendors and exhibitors to win cash and prizes. This entire event will run from 10 AM to 8 PM.

Dana Point Food, Wine & Music Festival June 24
In 2013, Eventwerks launched the Dana Point Food, Wine & Music Festival. The event was an instant hit with more than 100 exhibitors in attendance, 15 restaurants, chocolatiers, live music from tribute bands, kids fun zone, International wine festival, art in the park and a microbrew festival. Food can be purchased directly from the various restaurant stands at the event. Restaurants provide their own menus and pricing which will be advertised at each booth. The event will also be serving beer, wine, mixed drinks, soda and water.

Sawdust Festival June 30 – Sept 3
Outdoor arts and craftes festival. Watch artists create their work and buy directly from the artists while enjoying the wonderful atmosphere.

Los Angeles Farmers Markets Ongoing

First Fridays at the Natural History Museum  
The first Friday of every month from February through June plays host to a KCRW-presented evening of music, allowing visitors of all ages to stay late for a night at the museum. Each month offers a different lineup of musical guests and DJs, guided museum tours, and scientist-led talks.

Lummis Day Festival June 2-4
Celebrate the arts, history and ethnic diversity of Northeast Los Angeles at this annual music, dance and art festival. The three-day fest honors Charles Lummis, the journalist and activist who founded the Southwest Museum, built his own house (the Lummis Home) by hand and worked toward a more multicultural LA. The event takes place across four locations—Occidental College, Southwest Museum, Avenue 50 & York Boulevard and Sycamore Grove Park—with free shuttle service between each location, as well as by Metro stops.

The L.A. Conservancy offers a delightful summer time machine in the form of live entertainment and classic films, screened across Downtown’s grand old movie palaces throughout the month of June. This year’s lineup includes vintage crowd-pleasers like On the Waterfront and 20,000 Leagues under the Sea alongside some modern classics like Jaws, E.T. and L.A. Confidential. Most screenings include a special introduction and a post-film Q&A.

Los Angeles Design Festival  June 8-11
Whether your design sensibilities are professional or Pinterest-honed, celebrate L.A.’s outstanding aesthetic heritage at this annual design fest. Tours, exhibitions panels and parties will be staged all over the city; highlights include home tours, an opening night bash in the Fashion District and a furniture show. Prices for each event vary, so head to the fest’s website for all of the details and a full schedule.

11th Annual Calabasas Malibu Food & Wine Fest June 9-10
Perfect weather, delicious food, and good friends. What more could you ask for at the Calabasas Malibu Food & Wine Fest? The Commons at Calabasas is hosting this 11th annual food festival. In case you’re unfamiliar with this summer event, it features some of the best culinary establishments and wineries of Malibu and Calabasas. Over 30 chefs and 15 wineries and breweries will be offering samples to guests. Furthermore, guests are required to dress to impress (a.k.a., no flip-flops or casual attire) and will have various photo opps.

LA Food FestJune 10
The LA Food Fest has transformed itself into a brand new concept, growing from a street food-focused event to a more all-inclusive culinary spectacle. After ballooning into a multi-day series of events, LA Food Fest is back to a single-day market, but this time around it’s just one flat fee at the door, with no more extra expenses for food and drinks. Indulge in delicious eats from more than 100 food vendors and award-winning restaurants and of course, don’t forget to wear your stretchy pants.

LA Pride June 10-11
One of the biggest pride events in the US, LA Pride attracts as many as a half of a million people during its two-day festival at West Hollywood Park, including its signature Sunday parade. The atmosphere is good-natured and raucous; local color is provided by divas, drag queens and DJs. For 2017, in place of the parade, LA Pride will partner with the #ResitsMarch for human rights.

CicLAvia June 11
Calling all Batman, Iron Fist and Walking Dead fans in the Los Angeles area! The first Annual East LA Comic-Con is happening on May 20. In celebration of comic books, the supernatural and other out-of-the-ordinary media, this convention is taking a bow at El Gallo Plaza. You’ll have eight hours to check out comics, collectibles, artists and creators, as well as some cosplay. A special guest or two are expected to attend.

LA Film Festival June 14-22
Every year, the non-profit arts organization Film Independent showcases some of the best up-and-coming filmmakers from around the globe at the annual LA Film Festival. If you’re trying to break into Hollywood, it’s an opportunity to take advantage of filmmaker-focused classes and coffee talks, but for the rest of us, the LA Film Fest means lots and lots of movie screenings.

Silver Lake Picture Show June 22
These free outdoor movie screenings take place in the heart of Silver Lake, every other Thursday evening through mid-September. 2017 marks the Silver Lake Picture Show’s fourth season. This is very much a community-focused event: before each acclaimed, culturally important feature film, you’ll enjoy short films from local filmmakers and music performances from local bands.

Arroyo Seco Weekend: A New Music & Food Festival in PasadenaJune 24-25
Celebrate the start of summer with an amazing weekend featuring some of the top names in music, along with incredible food and drink, at Arroyo Seco Weekend. This two-day event will be held at beautiful, shady Brookside Park, next to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Mumford and Sons, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Weezer, The Shins, Fitz + the Tantrums, Alabama Shakes, Broken Social Scene, New Orlean’s beloved Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and The Meters are just a few of the bands playing. Redbird, Republique, Ramen Hood, Union, Local and many more eateries will be slinging their edible wares, along with numerous wine, cocktail and beer purveyors.

626 Night Market June 30
The midnight snacker’s greatest fantasy is just a car ride away. One of America’s largest Asian food markets spans the course of Santa Anita Park’s front Paddock Gardens. Come hungry and come caffeinated. This lively market, complete with over 150 Asian street food and booze peddlers, live music, artists, films, games, and beyond, won’t put itself to bed until 1am on Friday and Saturday (and midnight on Sunday).

Where the West Is Fun: San Diego County Fair 2017 Jun 2 – Jul 4
Where the West Is Fun at the 2017 San Diego County Fair offers a stampede of fun, food, and entertainment this year, from June 2 through July 4, at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The fair is closed the first four Mondays and the first three Tuesdays.

Art Around Adams June 3
Stroll storefront art galleries and businesses and listen to lots of music on several stages. Take the free trolley if your feet get tired. Music acts will appear on several stages.

9th Annual Baca on the BayJune 3
Baca on the Bay, Bikers Against Child Abuse’s 9th annual event at Campland on the Bay! Carnival style games, bike games, biker games, crafts, vendors, prizes, music, Dinner at 4pm. Come on out and join the fun. Everyone welcome!

Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego Marathon June 4
Synchrony Financial Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego will welcome more than 30,000 marathon and half-marathon runners, showcasing some of San Diego’s most iconic neighborhoods. The races will take off from Balboa Park and travel through Hillcrest, North Park, and Normal Heights before the marathon breaks from the half marathon at mile 8. The route will also run through Mission Hills, Old Town, and Mission Bay Park before both distances finish downtown near Waterfront Park.

San Diego Greek Festival 2017 June 9-11
Raise a glass (of ouzo) to the San Diego Greek Festival. The three-day event is a cultural celebration that transforms Southern California into the Mediterranean and features live lute-heavy tunes, folkloric dance performances, imported wines and the finest in authentic Greek cuisine. Additional attractions include church tours, a kid’s area filled with inflatables and crafts and the Opa beer garden.

19th Annual FilmOut San Diego LGBT Film Festival  June 9-11
FilmOut San Diego’s 19th Annual LGBT Film Festival will take place from June 9–11, 2017. Thirty-seven films will be screened during the three-day film festival at the historic Observatory North Park Theatre in San Diego. We have World, U.S., West Coast and California premiere screenings including award-winning feature and short films. Q&A’s will follow most films with director and cast members in attendance. The Opening Night Film will take place on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 7:00pm followed by an after-party, and our Closing Night Film will end the festival on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 7:00pm with another party immediately following the film.

San Diego Oysterfest 2017 June 9-11
The annual San Diego Oysterfest in San Diego, California, is a celebration of the succulent treat of the sea, the oyster. The one-day event features local and celebrity chefs preparing delectable oyster dishes and a rock concert that boasts a lineup of big-name national touring indie acts. Additional attractions include a “schuck and suck” competition, cooking demos and a beer garden.

San Diego Festival of the Arts June 10-11
The San Diego Festival of the Arts will highlight diverse works of painting, sculpture, photography, glass, jewelry, ceramics, wood, fiber, and mixed media from internationally known artists. In addition to art displays, guests at the 2017 event will enjoy live music and entertainment, a craft beer and wine garden, and a variety of cuisine from San Diego restaurants. Festival tickets start at $12 (advance, online) with proceeds benefitting adaptive sports programs for San Diegans with disabilities.

Taste of Little Italy June 14
Held in San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood, Taste of Little Italy is a food festival that provides guests with an opportunity to sample authentic Italian cuisine from many of the area’s finest restaurants. In addition to the numerous food options, attendees can enjoy live musical performances, which are scattered throughout the neighborhood’s 48 blocks.

San Diego International Beer Festival 2017 June 16-18
Home brewers, hopheads, craft enthusiasts and beer nerds unite! The annual San Diego International Beer Festivals in Del Mar, California, is a celebration of all things hops, barley, wheat and water. The two-day event features five tasting sessions, over 200 breweries from over 15 countries and more than 400 beers! New and established breweries alike are showcased and serve up their most unique brews.

Brats and Beer on the Bay June 17-18
The Maritime Museum of San Diego invites you to a Fathers Day celebration aboard Californian or San Salvador. Before the sail each adult receives a bratwurst sandwich, chips, and a beer prior to sailing. Hot dogs and soft drinks are available for the kids. Food will be served from 10 am-11:30 am and the three-hour sailing trip will begin boarding at 11:30 and returns approximately at 3 pm. Guests are welcome to enjoy the museum before and after the sail.

Taste of Adams Avenue 2017 June 25

For more than thirty years, the Ocean Beach Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off Festival has been providing Ocean Beach residents with a community-wide and family-friendly celebration. Guests can enter to compete in the chili cook-off and win esteemed awards in categories such as Hottest Chili and People’s Choice. In addition to the chili, festivalgoers can attend live musical performances right on the beach, peruse the many local vendors and sample from a variety of food and beverage options.
