I've had listing clients ask what they should do in terms of arranging their homes and I always tell to make as vanilla as possible. We have all seen the purple bedroom or the orange kitchen. As agents, we should never shy away from letting the seller in on how to visually style the home to sell. If as an agent, you don't have a decorator skill set, you should try and acquire at least a basic sense of how to style your listings to sell. It will help set you apart from the crowd. Here is link to a Trulia post that should help with some hints and insight as to what buyers like to see when they are viewing listing photos.
