Make Music Pasadena June 6
Think of Make Music as a mini FYF in Downtown Pasadena. A more-than-reasonable $5 donation is requested for this otherwise free music festival, which consists of more than 150 concerts from up-and-coming indie bands, spread across multiple local venues, shops and restaurants. LA Weekly presents Tacolandia 2015 at El Pueblo de Los Angeles in DTLA. CatCon LA  June 6-7
The self-dubbed Comic-Con for cat people comes to the Reef, née LA Mart, next June with speakers, meet and greets, furniture, art, toys and clothing—For humans? Felines? Hopefully both. So far, speakers include Simon Tofield (creator of “Simon’s Cat”), permakitten Lil Bub and owner Mike Bridavsky, “Henri, Le Chat Noir” creator Will Braden, Cheezburger founder Ben Huh and more. There’s not a whole lot else announced about the 2015 fest so far, but needless to say, we’ll be stalking the event’s every move.

LA Pride June 12
One of the biggest pride events in the US, LA Gay Pride attracts as many as 400,000 people during its three-day festival at West Hollywood Park (647 N San Vicente Blvd) and famous three-hour Sunday parade. The atmosphere is good-natured and raucous; local color is provided by divas, drag queens and DJs. Performers this year include Fifth Harmony, Tamar Braxton, Wilson Phillips and Kesha.

Playboy Jazz Festival   June 13-14

Los Angeles River Ride  June 28
This festive annual bike ride is the premier fundraiser for the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition and features 10 different bike rides of varying lengths (from 15-100 miles), so there’s something for all ages and ability levels. Stick around for an Eco Expo plus a raffle, live music and food to reward your efforts. The different rides will take you all across SoCal; most start and end at the Autry Center in Griffith Park, with a few out of the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach.
