The Autry is hosting its second annual public art contest: an open call for submissions for a large banner that will face the 5 Freeway and LA River at the rear of the museum. Seven finalists who created murals addressing Californians’ interactions with the environment were selected by committee, and the Autry is throwing a party to celebrate the winning artist. Cast your vote by September 9, then grab a ticket for the party on October 13 and enjoy live music, create a community chalk mural and buy a taco or two.

Burbank Beer Festival and Street Fair Oct 15
The Second Annual Burbank Beer Festival & Fall Street Fair returns to beautiful Downtown Burbank Saturday October 15th from Noon- 7pm with TWO sessions of Craft Beer to choose from!

To kick off Fire Prevention Week, the San Diego Fire Rescue Foundation is holding a 5K Run/Walk & Kids Run on October 8, 2016. The run not only allows San Diegans to have fun running with local firefighters but it also raises much needed funds for the foundation.
